In March 2008, Kyocera introduced the 30 page per minute (ppm) FS-1300 monochrome printer with a duty cycle of 25,000 pages per month. The FS-1350 followed in January 2009, with an increased print speed and duty cycle of 32 ppm and 30,000 pages, respectively.

In July 2009 two MFP versions were launched, the FS-1028MFP and FS-1128MFP. The FS-1028MFP also carried the OEM-rated print speed of 30 ppm, but with a reduced duty cycle of 20,000 pages per month. Added functionality included scan and copy features. The FS-1128MFP had the same duty cycle, but print speed was lessened to 28 ppm. The trade-off was fax functionality added as standard.

The FS-1300, FS-1350, FS-1028MFP and FS-1128MFP ship with 3,600 page starter cartridges. Replacement cartridges are available in a 7,200 page yield version only, and requires a chip for the printer to operate correctly.
